About Me

Welcome to the Don Campbell Elementary Website!

I was born and raised in Red Deer and attended school here from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Both my parents also grew up in Central Alberta and continue to work and live here.

After completing high school, I went on to get my Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Alberta.

One of my passions is traveling.  I have been to Europe a few times (Denmark, England, Germany, and Belgium), Central America (Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Mexico) and to multiple places in the United States. I am always looking forward to planning my next trip.

Before I began teaching I played many sports with hockey being my favorite.  I was fortunate to play all my minor hockey in Red Deer and then to finish with the Red Deer Vipers. In my spare time now I continue to play hockey, get outdoors as much as possible, and spend time with my family.

My wife, Sheri, (of 5 years now) works for the Government of Alberta.  We have two sons, Oliver who is almost 4 and Aiden who will be one right away. Our family also includes our dog, Boomer, who is a Collie/Lab mix and is packed full of energy and keeps us on our toes.

This is my 11th year of teaching (9 years and Annie L. Gaetz and this will be my 2nd year at Don Campbell).

The colleagues I work with are some of the most amazing individuals.  I am really looking forward to this school year and meeting the new students and families.

Technology is a passion of mine and incorporating it into the education your child will receive and having students that are responsible digital citizens continue to be a vital component to the way I teach.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or here at the school.               or               403-346-2611
